Skydiving This Weekend and Congratulations!

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 11:53 am by Falling Illini

This weekend is going to be a GREAT weekend to skydive! Saturday we are going to travel to a dropzone in Hinckley Illinois! This is a farther drive than our usual dropzone we jump at, but it is a bigger facility and a great place to skydive! We would like your information as soon as you know you would like to make a jump - but please commit - because some might not be able to come if we get too full (transportation has lately become an issue, so people with cars.. we would love for you to help us drive - we do provide gas money!). Since this is farther away, plan on it taking all day - we might not be getting back until late so bring things to do (or a camera to take sweet pics!). Sunday we will be going to our regular dz, but again, plan for it to be an all day event.

Static liners will be on the regular schedule and jumping at the same place as always.

Everyone - Please e-mail me your information:

AND - CONGRATULATIONS TO DEREK RUNGE FOR GETTING HIS A LICENSE!

Skydiving Informational Meeting!

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 8:32 am by Falling Illini

The Falling Illini will be hosting an informational meeting this coming Wednesday (tomorrow - September 3, 2008).  This is a time for you to learn more information about the type of jumps offered and prices -especially for those of you that are brand new to the sport and don’t know anything about it!

There will be a short presentation followed by time for you to ask us your questions.  The meeting will be held from 7pm to 9pm in 151 Everitt Lab (located on the corner of Wright and Green on the Engineering Quad).  The meeting will probably not take over an hour and feel free to leave early if you need to.

See you there!!
