Skydiving 9/2-9/3

Thursday, August 31st, 2006 8:52 am by Aaron VanDevender

Last weekend wasn’t the best weather for skydiving, and this weekend doesn’t look much better. However, we’d still like to know who wants to go, and then we can decide how it is going to look the night before, since the forcast is notoriously fickle. So if you are interested in jumping this weekend, send me an email and let me know what type of jump you want to do, what day you want to jump, your phone number, if you have a car, and how many people you can take.

Skydiving 8/26-8/27

Now after getting all excited from watching the videos at Wednesday’s information session, it is time to jump. Sadly, I’m not going to be going this weekend, so Paul Ahn is gonig to be organizinig. Email him at paulahn@uiuc.edu if you would like to jump this weekend. You need to tell him your name, phone number, which day you want to jump (Saturday or Sunday) what type of jump you want to make (Tandem, Static-Line or AFF), if you have a car, and how many people it holds. We will be meeting in front of the Union (Green Street side) at 7:45 am, and leave by 8. Remember to take pictures of eachother and send them to me when you get back.

Wednesday Informational Metting

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 8:54 pm by Aaron VanDevender

Thanks to everyone who came out for Quad Day today. We had over a thousand people come and talk to us about our favorite subject: skydiving. The flyers we passed out mention an informational metting tomorrow, which is going to be held at 7pm in Room 213 of Gregory Hall. We’re going to be talking about the different types of first jumps you can make, showing some videos of skydives that we’ve made, and answering your questions. So if there’s anything you want to ask, or you just want to hang out with a bunch of skydivers, then drop on by. See you then.

Quad Day

Welcome back to school! I hope you all had a good summer and are now ready to start blowing off clasess and go skydiving. Tomorrow is Quad Day, so you should come by the booth and say hi. We’ll be passing out Falling Illini window decals, so you can slap one on your car or wherever and tell the world how much you love to jump.
