Not Too Cold to Jump

Friday, November 18th, 2005 2:18 am by Aaron VanDevender

We were out jumping last Sunday and Colin Bennett and Paul Dovydaitis made their first Static-Line jumps, so everyone give them a big congradulations. Also, I’d like to give a shout out to Manuela Jandl and Phil Makotyn have completed the Static-Line tranining programs and they’re now doing coach jumps. They’ll hopefully get they’re A-licenses by the end of the year.

The moral of the story is that it isn’t too cold to jump. We’ll keep flying through the winter.

Alright I am going to keep this one really short, and I actually mean it this time. This week has been crazy for me, and have not had time/forgot to send out my email yesterday. I will not be going this weekend, and will be out of town as of, well this morning. So, please email Aaron at aaron@fallingillini.org and he can try to arrange rides this weekend. Have fun!

Skydiving 11/5-11/6

From what I hear, we are in the middle of one of Illinois famous warm weeks in November! Yes we all know it happens every year, but what you might not know, is that it is one of the best times to go skydiving. A lot of my most memorable skydiving days were in November. So get of your couches, and come skydiving this weekend. Being busy is not an excuse. I have a project that is due next week, and need to start over because, well it wasn’t that good. But that is not going to keep me from skydiving, and it should not keep you either. If you really cannot come out then you better be preparing for the largest event at Archway each year. The CHILLI PARTY!!!! I am telling you now so you have plenty of time to plan you studying around it. The weekend of December 10th and 11th I expect all of you to be joining us for an amazing party. Guaranteed fun! And maybe some beverages mixed in there, not to mention a good old chilli cook off. Lets get back to the present though. I am once again planning on going down Sunday. You all know the drill by now; let me know what your plans are.

On a side note, Charlie where have you been? We have not seen you out in a long time! That new rig does not do you any good if you don’t jump it. Just something to keep in mind.
