This weekend is a special weekend for Archway and the Falling Illini.  This Saturday is the annual Chili Party at Archway after a day of jumping.  Besides delicious chili Rich Mullins will also have his King Air there. If you have never jumped out of one I highly recommend you come this Saturday.

 If you want to come jumping this weekend, respond to this email with your name, the day you want to go, the jump you want to do, your phone number, and if you can drive.  Come out and go skydiving with us before finals start!

January 22nd starting at 11am is Activity Day in the Union. It is very similar to Quad Day in the fall in that all the RSOs can have booths to promote their organizations.  The Falling Illini has signed up, and we will most likely have a booth during Activity Day.  I will send out more information as it gets closer, but we hope for all of your support when it rolls around.

The Staff Contest is getting very close to ending.  Mike Murphy has two more weekends to defend his lead.  If you have faculty or staff who want to go skydiving, get them out there so you can win that $150 instead!

The Falling Illini Barcrawl was a blast! Those who made it out to the crawl had a chance to win skydiving money at each bar, and a lump sum for the whole thing. Thanks to Justin and Laura for putting together all of the challenges and getting the shirts. We looked great!

Shirts are in and ready for pickup!  I will be hanging out at the desks right in the southwest entrance of the union tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10-3 to distribute shirts.  (the southwest entrance is the left entrance when looking at the union from the quad).  If you have not paid your $10 for your shirt, you must pay when you pick it up.  Also, if you dropped the ball and forgot to order a shirt before break, a few extra shirts were ordered if you still want to get one, just email me if interested.  (You do not need a shirt to participate in the bar crawl, but it will make you look cooler)  As an added bonus, anyone that is interested in getting a head start on the barcrawl is welcome to come to our apartment starting at 8pm to begin the festivities and we will all head to the first bar together at 9pm.  This would also be a good time to pick up your shirt if you didn’t get a chance earlier as I don’t want to be stuck carrying everyone’s shirt to the bar for them.  See you all tomorrow.Justin Tobin

Yes, we are still jumping! If you want to be the first skydiver in December then I’ll race you! If you just want to go skydiving this weekend send me your name, your number, what day you want to go, what kind of jump you want, and if you can drive. I’ll get you set up!

Hey all you barcrawlers,

    A quick reminder that the Falling Illini barcrawl is this Wednesday, the 28th, starting at 9PM.  If you have ordered a shirt Justin will be sending out an email on when and where you can pick it up shortly. The shirts are $10 if you have yet to pay. But you do not need a shirt to come to the barcrawl.  Feel free to come just hang out with us for a while, or stay for the entire night. All are welcome!

   Our contest for the skydiver who can get the most faculty and staff to go skydiving is under way. Mike Murphy has already had 2 professors go, and I am on my way to a few as well.  There are only a few weekends left before the end of the semester, so if you want that $150 you need to get on it.

Hey Everyone, here is some more information about the barcrawl to let you all know where you can find Justin during this week to either sign up if you still need to and pay for your shirt.  First of all, the bar line up will be as follows: 

9pm  Firehaus
10pm Brother’s
11pm Murphy’s
12am Legend’s
1am  White Horse 

Justin will be hanging around the Union in the south lobby (if the weather is nice, look for him in front of the union) this week to accept money for barcrawl shirts and will have a sign-up sheet for those of you that need to sign up.  He will be wearing his Falling Illini t-shirt next to a matching sign on Tuesday 11-2, Wednesday 10-12 and Friday 10-1. We will also have a Falling Illini Booth after noon on Thursday where Daniel will be hanging out. Remember that the barcrawl is Wednesday, November 28 and shirts are $10.  He can take cash or check and the last time to sign up is Friday at 1.  For those of you that can’t make it during one of those times, be sure to email him at jatobin@uiuc.edu to let him know so he can be sure to order a few extra shirts.  He will be sending an email out after break telling you all when you can pick up your shirts.
